Scott Adams , the creator of the famous comic strip Dilbert , revealed in a recent livestream that US President Donald Trump called him amid his battle with aggressive prostate cancer , the same illness former President Joe Biden has.
Adams shared the story on Thursday while livestreaming on the video platform Rumble. He explained that Trump first called from an “unknown” number, which Adams initially ignored due to receiving many calls from people checking on him about his cancer diagnosis . When he later checked his voicemail, the transcription began with, “This is your favourite president.” Adams joked, “Did I send the most important person in the world to voicemail?”
Later that day, Adams answered a second call from the same number and spoke with Trump directly. At the end of their chat, Trump offered his support, saying, “If you need anything I’ll make it happen.” Adams described the moment as both “weird and incredible,” especially given his difficult health situation.
Scott Adams revealed on Monday that he has been diagnosed with the same aggressive form of prostate cancer as Joe Biden. He told his YouTube audience on Real Coffee with Scott Adams that his cancer has spread to his bones, causing intense pain and severely limiting his mobility. “I am always in pain, use a walker to get around and expect to die sometime this summer. The pain [is] basically intolerable,” Adams said.
He also expressed sympathy for Biden and his family following the former president’s announcement about his cancer diagnosis. Adams noted, “I have the same cancer Joe Biden has... I’ve had it longer than [Biden] has had it. Well, longer than he’s admitted to having it.”
Adams has been open about the severity of his illness, saying that despite the pain, he values the time left to organise his affairs and say his goodbyes. “This [cancer] is really painful. Like, really, really painful. But it’s also kind of good that it gives you enough time while your brain is still working to wrap things up,” he said during his livestream.
Meanwhile, medical experts have suggested that Joe Biden’s cancer may have been present for years, possibly even before he became president in 2021. Oncologists point out that prostate cancer is typically easy to detect early, making the timing of Biden’s recent announcement a subject of discussion.
