US President Donald Trump has weighed in on the Cracker Barrel logo controversy , urging the company to revert to its old branding, admit its mistake, and use the situation as a business opportunity.
In a post on his social media platform Truth Social, on Tuesday, Trump advised the restaurant chain to “go back to the old logo, admit a mistake based on customer response (the ultimate Poll), and manage the company better than ever before.”
He also suggested the company hold a major press conference and make use of what he described as “a Billion Dollars worth of free publicity” if handled well. “Very tricky to do, but a great opportunity,” Trump said. “Make Cracker Barrel a WINNER again,” he added.
The comments come amid backlash over Cracker Barrel’s recent rebranding that replaced its original logo - featuring a man leaning on a barrel - with a simplified, modern text-based design.
