Kannur: KPCC president K Sudhakaran on Thursday accused BJP and the Union govt of failing to ensure the safety of common people in the country.
In the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack, Sudhakaran alleged India was being ruled by a "shameless" govt that could not save the lives of innocent citizens.
"BJP could never fulfil its responsibility towards people. The Pahalgam incident proved that the party was unable to do anything for the people. What did they (Union govt) do against the attack? How did they respond to the incident? What reply has been given to Pakistan? Neither the BJP nor the BJP-led Union govt has any capability to meet its commitments towards the people," alleged the KPCC chief.
Sudhakaran was speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the observance of the death anniversary of AICC president Chettur Sankaran Nair in Kannur.
Sudhakaran further said the BJP should not try to teach the grand-old Congress party what is governance. "Our leaders are well experienced in heading the govt and the country," he said.
Sudhakaran further criticised the BJP Kerala unit for organising Chettur Sankaran Nair remembrance. "For the Congress party, there is nothing new in remembering Chettur. But when did the BJP come forward to remember him?" he asked.
