Bloodborne fans have been dealt a fresh blow this week, after Sony once again fails to acknowledge the game during its latest State of Play event.
The latest PlayStation State of Play event featured gameplay footage from the likes of Wolverine, Saros and Nioh 3.
Unfortunately, however, there was no sign of Bloodborne, which sadly backs up recent reports suggesting there are no plans for anything Bloodborne related in the near future.
According to speculation by , FromSoftware would need to be involved in a Bloodborne remaster or PC port. It's worth noting that the company is currently busy with Elden Ring Nightreign and upcoming Switch 2 game The Duskbloods.
"I checked in on it relatively recently and kind of continue to hear, 'Nothing is happening with Bloodborne, so don't expect that'," Grub added.
Rumours of a Bloodborne remaster gathered steam around the launch of the PS5. Rumours of a PC port also routinely circulate, as Sony continues to make PlayStation exclusives available on the platform.
Fans are desperate for an improved version of Bloodborne, which made its debut on the PS4 back in 2015.
While it remains one of FromSoftware's most beloved games, technical limitations continue to frustrate long-time fans. Specifically, the game only runs at 30 frames-per-second.
A PC port or a PS5 remaster/remake would certainly fix this, just don't expect it anytime soon.
As for the latest State of Play, Sony confirmed that Insomniac's upcoming Wolverine game will launch in autumn 2026.
The game appears to be for adults only, featuring brutal and bloody combat that takes full advantage of Wolverine's unique powers.
Housemarque's new game Saros, meanwhile, has been given a March 20, 2026 release date for PS5.
Arguably one of the most exciting announcements is that a remastered version of Deus Ex will launch next February.
Confirming earlier reports, Sony also revealed the PS Plus Essentials for October, announcing that Alan Wake 2, Goat Simulator 3 and Cocoon will join the service on October 7.
