The Prince and Princess of Wales's children may be three of the most well-known children in the world but their parents are making sure that they have as normal childhoods as possible. The couple are reportedly eager to keep their children grounded and have done everything to ensure they just enjoy being children.
Much like her brothers, one way that Princess Charlotte is seen as "normal" at school is that she goes by a two-word nickname so that she blends in with her fellow classmates. During her time as a oung pupil at Thomas's Battersea School in London, the now-10-year-old went by the very simple nickname of 'Charlotte Cambridge' among her friends.
When William and Kate later become the Prince and Princess of Wales in 2022, her name was likely changed to 'Charlotte Wales'.
As well as her name at school, William and Kate have a host of adorable nicknames for their darling daughter.
During a trip to Northern Ireland in 2019, Princess Kate spoke to a member of the public about her daughter, who she referred to as Lottie.
The same year, William was heard referring to Charlotte as "mignonette" as he visited the garden Kate helped design for the Chelsea Flower Show in 2019.
The French word is reportedly used to describe something "small, sweet and delicate," or something "cute."
As well as their sister, Prince George, 12, and Prince Louis, 7, have got their own nicknames amongst their nearest and dearest.
In 2023, Prince Louis wa fondly called "Loubugs" by his mum Kate as they volunteered at a scout hut to mark the King's Coronation weekend.
George is said to be called 'PG Tips' by his classmates, with the PG referrgn to his name as well as paying homage to the British tea brand.
