A 20-year-old woman who is Prince William and Prince Harry's cousin was found dead with a gun next to her, an inquest has heard. Rosie Roche was found dead by her mum and sister, the hearing was told on Sunday.
The granddaughter of Princess Diana's uncle died at her family home in Norton, near Malmesbury in Wiltshire, on Monday, July 14. She was found after she had been packing to go away with friends.
The inquest at Wiltshire and Swindon coroner's court was adjourned until October 2025. As reported by The Sun, area coroner Grant Davies said police "have deemed the death as non-suspicious and there was no third-party involvement".
A spokeswoman said Rosie, who had been studying English Literature at Durham University, will be "sorely missed". An obituary published by the Yorkshire Post said: "Roche, Rosie Jeanne Burke. Died on Monday 14th July 2025.
"Darling daughter of Hugh and Pippa, incredible sister to Archie and Agatha, Granddaughter to Derek and Rae Long. Private family funeral. A memorial service will be held at a later date."
Her death comes after Thomas Kingston, who was married to Harry and William's cousin Lady Gabriella, died in February 2024. A gun was found near the 45-year-old financier's body and an inquest confirmed he died from a "traumatic head wound".

Mr Kingston's body was found in an outbuilding at his parents home in the Cotswolds. Police said they were satisfied the death was not suspicious.
An inquest earlier this year heard that he had been given several drugs to treat depression after having trouble sleeping following stress at work. He had reportedly stopped taking the medication in the days leading up to his death.
A friend of Mr Kingston, who studied economic history at Bristol University, and Lady Gabriella told The Times that the couple did not seem to have any relationship or financial problems. They were last seen in public at a William Shakespeare event on Valentine's Day.
The pair had also attended the National Gallery together shortly before that. Another friend said they "seemed happy and positive as ever" at the time.
