Paedophile pop singer Gary Glitter has reportedly added tens of thousands to his net worth in the last year - despite being declared bankrupt. The 81-year-old, who was jailed in 2015 for one count of attempted rape, four counts of indecent assault and one count of having sex with a girl under 13, avoided paying £508,000 in damages earlier this year.
The damages were ordered to be paid by the High Court in 2024 to the woman Glitter - real name Paul Francis Gadd - raped when she was underage. The woman's lawyers launched an action to make Gadd bankrupt in March 2025, meaning a trustee would take over his assets and use them to make the repayment.
But now new documents seen by The Mirror and filed at Companies House show one of the businesses Gadd founded - which is now run by associates - had more than £155,000 in assets for 2024, up from £125,626 the year before.
The publication reports that the firm has allowed him to pay off the mortgage on his Baker Street flat.
According to The Mirror, Gadd was still earning royalties from his music while serving his 16-year prison sentence. He was released in 2023 having served half, but thrown back behind bars six weeks later after he allegedly used a smartphone to watch videos of young girls on the dark web while in a bail hostel, therefore breaching his license conditions.

A source told the Mirror: "Though some were paused some years ago it may not be the case with all of them."
Though he no longer owns the master rights to his records, Gadd is thought to still earn half the royalties as songwriter, meaning he could be earning from every "public performance" of music played in bars, on the radio or on television.
It was confirmed, however, that Gadd would receive no royalties from the track Rock and Roll Part II, co-written by Gadd and included in 2019 film Joker.
