The gripping medical drama Malpractice is set to return to with its highly anticipated second series.
This Sunday, audiences will be plunged back into the intense world of a West Yorkshire hospital embroiled in an unexpected investigation.
The plot thickens when on-call Psychiatric Registrar Dr James Ford faces a harrowing decision between two patients, leading to unforeseen and catastrophic consequences.
A tantalising synopsis reveals: "As the team dig further into the events of that night, what appears to be a series of poor choices by one doctor spreads beyond the psychiatric unit to a hospital seemingly at war with itself.

Tom Hughes is set to captivate ITV viewers as he steps into the shoes of Dr James Ford in the enthralling medical series.
Dr James Ford is a dedicated Psychiatric Registrar halfway through his tenure at Queen Mother's University Hospital.
Despite his devotion to patient care, Dr James' personal life is in disarray, and his perceived arrogance puts him at odds with colleagues, sparking frequent clashes, reports Belfast Live.
However, a series of disastrous events unfold when he's caught in a dilemma between attending a routine postnatal check-up for a new mother and dealing with the sectioning of a severely psychotic woman during a hectic on-call shift.
As the MIU is called in to investigate, James is determined to uncover the truth behind the tragedy and vindicate himself. Viewers may recognise the actor from his portrayal of Albert in the historical drama Victoria. He has also appeared in notable productions such as About Time, drama The Game and Red Joan.
Actor Jordan Kouame steps into the shoes of Dr George Adjei in Malpractice. His character is depicted as having a robust moral compass and is now comfortable in his role at the MIU.
In a blossoming relationship, things are beginning to look promising for Dr George as he starts to recover from the trauma that led him to leave clinical practice.
However, his progress is threatened when he encounters a reminder of his past in Oncology.
As the MIU's probe into Dr Ford intensifies, George must confront the harsh realities of the job as the MIU questions who they can trust. Jordan Kouame has featured in productions such as Wolf Hall, Scoop, Dope Girls and Delivery.
Dr Norma Callahan is played by Helen Behan, who returns to the ITV series Malpractice, much to the delight of its viewers.
Norma's character remains as sharp and incisive as ever, but she starts to query the investigation's scope and facts as it unfolds.
Her pursuit of justice leads her to overstep boundaries when she encounters abuses of power, both within and outside her workplace.
A synopsis for Norma's storyline this series states: " As the lines blur between her latest investigation at the MIU and conflict with her daughter at home, Norma will have to question whether her judgment has become clouded in her determination to get to the truth and deliver the justice necessary."
