B&M has confirmed the date on which all of its UK stores will be closed for a full 24 hours.
The bargain retailer, which has more than 700 stores nationwide, is loved by customers for its regular deals and variety of products. It has now confirmed that its stores will be closed on Christmas Day, December 25, but will reopen the following day. The announcement comes as many retailers have revealed their store opening hours during the festive period to allow Brits to prepare well in advance.
B&M confirmed its Christmas closure on Monday, September 8, but told the Mirror that stores will be reopened on Boxing Day, December 26.
Boxing Day hours, however, have not been confirmed yet. Last year, the majority of stores were open between 8 am and 6 pm, and the same hours applied to both New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Customers have been advised to contact their local branches directly to find out specific opening hours closer to the date.
Home Bargains also confirmed that is stores will shut for three days over the festive period. The retailer confirmed last week that all Home Bargains stores will close at 5 pm on Christmas Eve and reopen on December 27, allowing staff to have Christmas Day and Boxing Day off.
The retailer will also close its stores on New Year's Day.
A Home Bargains spokesperson said: "Our colleagues work incredibly hard throughout the year, and we want to recognise that commitment.
"As a family-run business, we understand the importance of spending time with family and friends, particularly over the holidays. We're proud to give our teams additional time off to enjoy the festive season."
Sainsbury's also recently confirmed their opening times between Christmas and New Year.
Stores across the country close on Christmas Day in line with the Christmas Day (Trading) Act 2004 - a law that prevents large stores from opening and allows employees to have the day off and celebrate the religious and cultural holiday with loved ones.
