Prison in the name of play school: Children put to sleep after being drugged! 72 innocent children in dark rooms, if anyone was found awake they were beaten

In the name of Army Play School, a prison for children was found. After the death of a two-year-old child on Saturday, the team raided the school on Thursday and found out that the childhood of children is being crushed here. When the team talked to the children, it was found out that they are made to stand like a rooster and are beaten for even the smallest mistakes. They are forced to sleep after switching off the lights of the room.

An FIR has been registered at Palla police station against the play school operator and others for cruelty to children and giving drugs to the children at a play school in Palla area of Faridabad, Haryana. This FIR was registered on the complaint of a member of the Child Welfare Committee on Friday. Police spokesperson Yashpal Singh said that sections 75, 77 of JJ Act and sections 126, 127 (3)(4) of BNS have been imposed in the FIR. Of these, section 77 of the JJ Act is the most serious which has a provision of imprisonment up to 7 years and a fine of Rs 1 lakh. The matter is being investigated.

The school was running by flouting the rules.

Child Welfare Committee member Sunil Yadav filed a complaint with the police on Friday. In which it was stated that on April 17, a joint team of Child Welfare Committee Faridabad and Child Protection Unit Faridabad inspected the play school in Palla area. The team took this action taking cognizance of the news of the death of a 2-year old child in the play school published in the newspaper on April 13. During the inspection at Army Public Play and Creche School (Play School and Day Care), Saraswati Colony, Shani Bazar, the team found that the school was being run in violation of the regulatory guidelines for play schools.

The children were fed and then put to sleep.

It is alleged that as per the records the total number of children in the school is 103 which is too many as per the area of the school. School operator Pankaj did not provide any documents related to school recognition. The team found 34 children sleeping in the room, the number of children was too many as per the size of the room. On looking at the sleeping children it appeared that the children were fed something and then put to sleep. Children were also found sleeping in the two rooms on the top floor of the school.

There were no security arrangements, hygiene level zero

When the team reached the school door for inspection, the door was opened only after ringing the doorbell several times. After opening the door, the school operator obstructed the team in inspection and tried to stop them forcibly. Not a single female staff was found during the inspection in the school. No safety equipment was available in the school. The hygiene level in the school is zero. Children told that 16 to 18 children stay there for 24 hours.

Stale flour, food and expired cold drinks were found in the school.

The children said that they are also beaten here. Seeing the condition of the children in the school, the team called a team of doctors. The condition of some children was not good so they were asked to be admitted to the hospital. Expired cold drinks, stale kneaded flour and stale food were found in the school. On this basis, an FIR has been registered in Palla police station.

In the name of playschool, childhood of the innocents was being crushed.

The viscera has been sent to the forensic lab as the cause of death was not known from the post-mortem report. The police is waiting for that report. On the request of Faridabad Police, in this matter, the team of Child Welfare Committee and District Child Welfare Protection reached here on Thursday.

There were no toys in the play school.

The team found that there were 72 children in three rooms in the school built on a 50-yard plot. When the lights were switched on in one of the rooms, 34 children were found forcibly made to sleep on mattresses laid on the floor. There were not even toys for the children in the play school. When the committee members asked the children, it was revealed that 18 children stay in the school even at night. The play school operator Pankaj has not even maintained a register for the records of the children. During interrogation, he told that there are 103 children in the school.

The children are of working people, they used to charge 4000 to 8000 rupees as fee.

The working people around the school used to leave their children at the school at night, in such a case, the school operator used to charge about eight to nine thousand rupees as fee per student per month from the parents of the children staying in the school at night, whereas, about four to five thousand rupees were charged as fee from the children who came and went from home daily.
