Aamir Khan, known as Mr. Perfectionist, is once again making headlines — not for an emotional drama, but for what is being described as the biggest action film of his career. After delivering heartfelt stories like Sitaare Zameen Par, which continues to perform well at the box office, Aamir is now turning his attention to a high-octane action film with acclaimed director Lokesh Kanagaraj.
Lokesh, best known for blockbuster hits like Vikram, Kaithi, and Master, revealed in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that after completing Kaithi 2, he will begin work on a new Hindi project with Aamir Khan. This film is not just aimed at the Indian market but is being developed for a global audience.
According to Lokesh, the film will not necessarily be a superhero movie, but it will be on a massive action scale. He also drew a parallel between Aamir Khan and Kamal Haasan, praising Aamir's versatility and commitment to detail.
This ambitious project follows Lokesh's track record of massive box office success. His film Vikram, starring Kamal Haasan and Vijay Sethupathi, collected over 400 crore worldwide, earning him the title of a 400 crore director in the Tamil film industry.
Meanwhile, Aamir Khan is also expected to appear in a cameo role in Coolie, which releases on August 14 and stars Rajinikanth. The film will clash with War 2 featuring Hrithik Roshan. The trailer for Coolie is set to be released on August 2.
With Bollywood superstars like Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan making a return to action films, all eyes are now on Aamir Khan and Lokesh Kanagaraj to deliver a game-changing cinematic experience that could redefine the action genre in Indian cinema.
