The shocking moment a reckless driver caused a horror three-car after missing their exit, in the middle of a busy , was caught on camera.
The minivan unleashed chaos on a major road after deciding to make a dead stop in the middle of a lane. Jaw-dropping footage caught the moment a red car stopped next to an exit, marked for an airport, and switched on their indictor lights implying they wanted to drive right and into the slip road, in Ohio, , at evening rush hour on Wednesday. The chilling video then saw three cars behind the moronic minivan driver before it simply drove off.
This footage, shared by the Ohio Department of Transportation as a warning to motorists, started by showing cars moving steadily along the Interstate 71 south near Columbus. The minivan made a complete standstill and looked as though it hoped to directly cut across to lanes on the motorway to make it to the exit.

This car stays completely still for around 10 seconds as two more cars come to an unexpected stop right behind it on the busy motorway.

Absolute chaos ensued when another unsuspecting driver slammed into the back of the third car which caused both vehicles to spin from the impact. The second car in the pile up was also smashed into by the vehicle behind it.
Unbelievably, the red minivan that caused this horror crash was somehow not hit by any of the three doomed vehicles behind it and eventually rolled two lanes over and cut into the exit.
Two lanes became blocked in the pile up and smoke was spotted blowing out of one of the crashed cars. Thankfully no injuries were reported from this horror collision and the red minivan driver has not yet been identified after fleeing the scene, according to .
The Ohio Department of Transportation shared the terrifying video online and warned people not to pull a moronic move like that, saying: "When you are driving along a major interstate and you miss your exit do you: A) keep driving and get off at the next one or B) come to a complete stop, cause a multi-car rear-end crash and then drive away.
"HINT: The answer is NEVER B. Do not be this driver. Actions like the one in the video are extremely dangerous to yourself and other drivers."
The press secretary for this department of transport, Matt Bruning, slammed that driver's idiotic decision to and said: "They stopped because they missed their exit or the exit they just passed and that’s the worst thing you can do on a highway."
This worryingly has not been the first time a ridiculous driver caused a shocking car crash by stopping in the middle of a busy road. Dramatic footage caught when they attempted to avoid a car that had stopped after missing the exit in Huzhou City in East China's Zhejiang Province.
