A 13-year-old boy has been left with severe facial injuries after being attacked by a gang of youngsters at an outdoor sports pitch.
The brutal attack took place just before 7pm yesterday (Saturday, July 19) in in Chudleigh, Devon, and was captured on mobile phones.
Devon and Cornwall Police said the teenager was encircled by a group of his peers and sustained injuries "to the level of actual bodily harm".

The police said the area was busy at the time, and was urging any witnesses who haven't yet come forward to do so.
It also issued a warning that footage of the incident may have been circulated on social media, reports Devon Live.
A police spokesperson strongly discouraged sharing such material online and implored anyone with video evidence to get in touch with the authorities.
