The future of Nottingham Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo is suddenly in doubt as tensions brew behind the scenes.
Reports from Europe claim that Nuno, who oversaw a 3-1 win over Brentford on the opening weekend of new campaign and guided Forest into the Europa League last season after a seventh-placed finish, is in conflict with owner Evangelos Marinakis over the club's signings this summer.
"We are very far - very, very far - from where we should be. We are very far in terms of preparation, in terms of planning, in terms of the squad," Nuno explained ahead of the Brentford game.
"So we are all very worried that in two or three days' time we are playing for the Premier League, the most demanding competition in the world. And we are very far. Very, very far.

"The plans that we had didn't come through. The preparation in terms of the squad was not ideal. We didn't have a chance to create the bond - and this is what I think is more important.
"Because we don't know which squad we have. We have players working here who know they're going to leave on loan. We have a major problem."
Despite Nuno's misgivings, Forest were able to beat Brentford at the City Ground last Sunday thanks to a brace from last season's top scorer Chris Wood and a goal from summer signing Dan Ndoye, who arrived from Bologna.
At the time of Nuno's comments Ndoye was one of four summer signings Forest had made along with Botafogo pair Igor Jesus and Jair Cunha as well as backup goalkeeper Angus Gunn, who arrived from Norwich.
Since the Brentford win though, four new players have been added to the squad as Forest prepare for their Europa League campaign.
Omari Hutchinson, Arnaud Kalimuendo, James McAtee and Douglas Luiz have all been snapped up, with the quartet all offering quality and experience ahead of the club's first European campaign since 1996.
Forest face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Sunday, with the clash set to be a feisty affair after the clubs clashed over Palace's involvement in European football this summer.
