Nantes school stabbing: Boy's chilling 5 words to police after stabbing classmate to death

A schoolboy who a female classmate to death and wounded three others shared five chilling words with the when he was captured after the horror attack.

A 15-year-old., launched a savage ambush at the Notre-Dame de Toutes-Aides private school in , western , today. Police revealed several people were stabbed by a fellow at around 12pm local time. The alleged attacker was by cops who rushed to the terrifying scene but the suspect also sent a disturbing email to all 2,000 pupils, calling for an end to the "ecological destruction" of the earth and ranting about his "social alienation".

When the police arrived to the doomed school, the student. reportedly shared a chilling statement, telling them to: "Shoot me in the head." Classes were ongoing when the attacker, who was dressed in black and wore a cycling helmet, balaclava and goggles, launched his rampage.

He trapped his first victim next to a toilet and stabbed her repeatedly as she screamed for help, but she quickly died after staff found her tragically lying on the floor. He then entered a classroom and attacked three other pupils.

One of these students was left "fighting for his life", according to a source close to the investigation. The attacker was then pulled to the ground by an information manager before police rushed to the scene.

Cops handcuffed and arrested the teenager., who suffered a "slight cut to the head and to one hand", the source said. A shocked student shared some of the scene, with local newspaper Ouest-France, and said: "We came out of our classroom at lunchtime and we saw a lot of pupils crying. We’re really shocked."

Another pupil said: "This is something you see on television but you don’t expect it to happen at your school." The tragic victims have not been publicly named yet but the deceased pupil was said to be a second year high school student.

Two knives were found near to the scene, according to local media. There is no indication of a terrorist motive. As Nantes prosecutors opened a criminal enquiry, a spokesman said the boy was "undergoing a psychological evaluation".

France’s Interior Minister, Bruno Retailleau, was on Thursday afternoon on his way to the school complex, which is made up of two primary schools, a middle school, and a high school.

Retailleau said: "This tragedy once again illustrates the endemic violence that exists among a segment of our youth. It leads us to ask ourselves fundamental questions in terms of education, the hierarchy of values, and respect for human life."

President took to X and wrote: "A teenage girl lost her life, and three other high school students were injured, after a knife attack at a high school in Nantes. I extend my heartfelt thoughts to the families, the high school students, and the entire educational community, whose shock and grief the nation shares.

"Through their intervention, teachers undoubtedly prevented further tragedies. Their courage commands respect."
