Man who swiped right 2 million times on Tinder finally lands a date after five years

A 26-year-old man has gone viral after on which he has landed just one date after swiping right to more than two million profiles on the dating app.

The post detailing the story ruffled feathers online with large groups of both men and women in agreement that which included stereotypical 'catching fish' pictures and hoodies with bad jokes printed on them.

The man, who goes by Hayden on his profile, shared that he has . According to statistics he published himself, he has given 2,020,459 swipes right and 38,014 swipes left.

"Over 90% of my matches are bots, I also have to change my location so I can keep swiping," he explained in the original post. "There’s a lot more to this data that isn’t shown. I don’t ever match with anyone in my own state."

On Tinder, you view a person's profile which contains images and basic information about them before having a conversation. If you like what you see then you swipe right, left if you don't, and if both people swipe right it's a match and the conversation can begin.

Hayden's statistics also rallied corners of social media who have cited a '', referring to a rising sense of loneliness among men, particularly younger in age, which is earmarked as the cause of bad mental or physical health.

The online phenomena has its critics, chiefly those who point out the isolation could be brought on due to increased screen times and the fact that men are not the only demographic who feel lonely.

Others have linked the social epidemic to , an online community of men who consider themselves unable to attract women sexually. This group is tied to hostility towards women both online and offline and was featured in the show Adolescence, though some have distanced male loneliness from this.

Hyden's Reddit post listed that, from 2,020,459 swipes right, he had managed 2,053 matches which led to 1,269 conversations on Tinder and one date, which was unsuccessful.

The profile contained prompts written by Hayden such as: "If you're not trying to go , I don't want it. My idea of a vacation is going to the desert and looking for snakes for a week. I may or may not currently own 33 snakes."

Words of advice and support were adding to the Reddit post, with one user writing: "Hey man, I get it—dating can feel hopeless, especially when you’re stuck in a cycle of negativity. And I know you aren't looking for advice, but let’s be real: Your profile isn’t working because it’s sending the wrong signals. It's 100% not because you’re ‘ugly’ or ‘unlovable.’

"The good news? Your profile is easily fixed. Delete your current profile. It’s time for a clean slate. Ditch the fish pics. Yeah, it’s a meme, but women see 10 fish pics a day. It screams 'I have no personality beyond a tackle box.'"

Men average 137 swipes per day, according to Tinder insights, compared to the women's average of 200. Hayden however, averages a mindboggling 1,953 swipes per day on the dating site.
