A major search operation was launched in Blackpool this week following reports of a person being swept 30 metres out to sea.
The HM Coastguard, police and paramedics rushed to the scene close to the Central Pier in the early hours of Friday following reports of a person in difficulty in the water. But during the rescue operations, four members of the rescue team were also injured.
