Eurovision 2025 final: How to vote for your favourite act and how voting system works

The 2025 Eurovision Song Contest final is getting underway this Saturday night where one country will be crowned the winner. A total of 26 countries are through to the Grand Final and the UK are through automatically due to being one of the "Big Five" countries, which also include Spain, Germany, France and Italy.

Switzerland is also guaranteed a place in the Grand Final due to them being hosts this year. The UK is being represented by Remember Monday who are singing What The Hell Just Happened?

You are able to contribute to the show by voting for your favourite country's performance. Here's a guide as to how you can vote.

Voting opens just before the first song is performed in the Grand Final. The voting system will remain open until around 40 minutes after the performance of the last song of the night has been aired.

Those who are not in participating countries will have 24 hours to vote for their favourite songs. This will be split across two voting windows.

Online voting will open at approximately midnight on the day of the Grand Final and will initially stay open until the live shows begin. Online voting will then open again just before the first song is performed and will stay open until 40 minutes after the last song has been presented.

Fans can vote over the phone, text or via the Eurovision app. Each person can vote up to 20 times but you will be unable to select your own country.

How does Eurovision voting work

The public votes make up 50 per cent of the final vote while the other half is determined by a professional jury.

The experts’ scores are based on the Friday night jury final performances which are not televised. After viewers have cast their votes a national spokesperson from the participating countries will be called in to present the points of their professional jury.

After the scores from the juries are revealed the public points from all participating countries will be added up which will lead to one final score for each song.

Graham Norton will be hosting this year's competition for the UK and has been doing so since 2009. He has since said how he thinks the UK should be celebrating the annual show.

Graham said: "You never want to make your party seem too much like hard work, so my advice is not to go overboard. Maybe ask guests to pick countries out of a hat and they can choose to wear something traditional or bring a food item from that country.

"If you are going for raucous, then Eurovision lends itself very easily to drinking games - take a shot every time you see some sort of folk instrument, or whenever a performer makes a heart with their fingers. Say goodbye to your Sunday!"
