Cloud applications, infrastructure and AI have redefined what’s possible in software development, business operations, and user experience. The integration of cloud and AI has enabled businesses to deploy solutions like intelligent chatbots, real-time analytics, and personalisation engines as seamlessly as any web-based service. Tasks that once required significant resources, technical expertise and a lot more time, can now be accomplished through cloud-based AI platforms, making advanced capabilities accessible faster to organisations of all sizes. Additionally, they help organisations innovate faster, optimise costs and make sharper, data driven decisions.
Recognising this transformative shift, Inc42 and Oracle brought together top tech minds to discuss and explore its real-world impact. After successfully hosting the CTO Dinner in Bengaluru, the momentum carried forward to Delhi with another power-packed evening.
This exclusive gathering brought together over 25 CTOs from leading startups, offering a one-of-a-kind networking opportunity while spotlighting new and emerging technologies that are redefining industries.
Tech leaders from across fintech, SaaS, healthtech, and ecommerce shared insights into how AI and cloud are transforming software development, enhancing customer experience and engagement, and improving operational efficiency. Discussions delved into the integration of AI-powered cloud automation and its role in driving business innovation.
The evening hosted tech leaders including Abhinandan Narayan, CBO of Revfin; Anirudh Bhardwaj, CTO of Recur Club; Chirantan Sharma, head of product management at Fern N Petals; Kunal Gupta, CTO of Magicpin; Lakshay Girdhar, director of engineering at Insurancedekho; Mohit Malik, CTO of Chaayos; Rahul Prasad, cofounder and CTO at Bobble AI and Yakub Pasha Shaik, head of engineering-mobile (AbhiBus) at ixigo.
During the event, we also caught up with Kapil Makhija, VP of Technology Cloud at Oracle India, who shared how AI and cloud are enhancing business performance and streamlining operations. He shared how new AI capabilities are enabling organisations to optimise costs, improve security and enhance agility enabling young tech organisations to establish a stronger competitive edge.
Building An AI-Powered Cloud For India’s Startup EcosystemRecent cloud services data points to strong momentum: 60% of business data is now stored in the cloud globally, up from 48% in 2023. The convergence of AI and cloud technologies has triggered robust investment, with 33% of organisations spending over $12 Mn annually on public cloud services in 2025.
This trend is further amplified by the rapid adoption of GenAI. In 2025, 72% of organisations are using GenAI services, driven largely by the scalability and accessibility of cloud-based AI platforms. As businesses double down on GenAI, cloud platforms are becoming the backbone of this shift — offering the compute power and infrastructure needed to train and deploy large AI models.
“It’s not a coincidence that all major AI companies — OpenAI, XAI Grok, Mosaic, Microsoft, Cohere are significantly leveraging our cloud computing services for their AI engines, even though many have their own cloud platforms,” said Makhija.
As the Delhi edition of the CTO Dinner created new opportunities for connection and collaboration among tech leaders, it also laid the groundwork for future collective action in India’s AI-driven future.
According to Inc42 estimates, India’s homegrown GenAI market is projected to surpass $17 Bn by 2030. Today, AI and cloud technologies are no longer just enablers — they’re the core drivers reshaping how tech-first businesses operate, innovate, and compete in the digital era.
Community, Collaboration & What’s NextThe CTO Dinner Series by Inc42 and Oracle has emerged as a high-conviction, closed-door platform for peer learning, ecosystem dialogue, and strategic exchange among India’s top tech leaders.
With innovation cycles accelerating and AI becoming mission-critical, collaborative leadership conversations like these are essential to shaping the next decade of India’s tech-first companies.
At Inc42, we’re committed to fostering deeper collaboration across the ecosystem and creating meaningful spaces for India’s next-generation tech leaders to connect, co-create, and build for what’s next with partners like Oracle at the forefront.
Stay tuned for more such gatherings as we continue to bring India’s tech leadership community together.
