BCCI Vice-President Rajiv Shukla was seen intervening between Lucknow Super Giants' spinner Digvesh Rathi and SunRisers Hyderabad opener Abhishek Sharma as the fallout from the heated exchange continued. In a video surfaced on social media, Shukla seemingly tried to calm both Rathi and Abhishek from stretching the matter further.
The heated exchange between Rathi and Abhishek came after the leg-spinner dismissed the opener in the eighth over. With the wicket coming at a crucial juncture for the Super Giants, the leg-spinner gestured the left-handed batter to go back to the pavilion along with performing the notebook celebration. Although Abhishek was walking back to the pavilion, he returned to exchange some words with Rathi and the umpires had to intervene to break the fight up.
Meanwhile, below is the video of Rajiv Shukla intervening to break up the argument between the two cricketers:

Nevertheless, Abhishek had done nearly half the job for the SunRisers by the time he had lost his wicket. The 82-run partnership off 35 deliveries with Ishan Kishan helped the SunRisers march ahead in the run-chase of 206 massively. Ishan Kishan (35), Heinrich Klaasen (35) and Kamindu Mendis (32*) also chipped in with useful contributions to help the Orange Army register a six-wicket victory.
With that, Rishabh Pant and co. joined the SunRisers, Chennai Super Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals in getting officially knocked out of playoff race.
