Many people like to get the names of their loved ones written, while some people get attractive designs made. Not only this, now people also get pictures or names of gods and goddesses tattooed on their bodies. Maharaj has given his reaction on getting God's name or pictures tattooed on the body, he told us why doing so is considered inappropriate.

Effect of God's name and picture on the body

According to Premanand Maharaj, the names of gods and goddesses have immense power. If a person chants the name of God regularly, he can get rid of his sins. But just as there are rules for chanting the name, in the same way, caution is also necessary for permanently imprinting their pictures on the body i.e. getting a tattoo.

Why is getting a tattoo inauspicious?

Maharaj said that the picture or name of gods and goddesses should not be made as a tattoo on any part of the body. When a person takes a bath, the water reaches the feet through that tattoo, which is considered an insult to God from a religious point of view. This also has the effect of sin on the person.

Also, during the day, we come in contact with impure things or places many times. In such a situation, religious tattoos made on the body can also become impure, which can lead to a situation of disrespect towards the gods and goddesses. This can not only deprive one of their blessings but can also cause anger.

Be careful in Mehndi as well.

Along with tattoos, pictures of gods and goddesses should never be made in Mehndi. If this happens, then it is also considered disrespect to God. This can also cause a fault and instead of divine grace, opposite results can come out. In Sanatan Dharma, along with faith and belief, dignity also has special importance. Therefore, to respect religious symbols, one should avoid marking them as a tattoo on the body.
