AstroSage AI launches India's first AI Astrologer on call

AstroSage AI has launched India’s first voice-based AI astrologer, allowing users to speak directly with an artificial intelligence system over the phone in any Indian language. The move aligns with the government’s IndiaAI Mission, which promotes the development of homegrown AI technologies tailored to Indian needs.

The “AI Astrologer on Call” feature is designed to break accessibility barriers by enabling users including those who cannot read or type to receive astrological guidance through natural conversation in their native language. The AI system is trained on a wide range of Indian astrological disciplines, including Vedic astrology, Krishnamurti Paddhati, Lal Kitab, Tarot, Numerology, and Nadi astrology.

Punit Pandey, CIO of AstroSage AI, said the initiative reflects India’s growing AI capabilities. “This shows the power of Made in India AI. Our goal is to make astrology more accessible, responsible, and relevant through technology,” he said.
The company emphasizes that the AI astrologer offers not just predictions, but also advice on personal and practical matters — from career and relationships to financial decisions. It combines traditional knowledge with broader contextual awareness that, according to the developers, may even exceed the scope of individual human astrologers.

Pratik Pandey, CEO of AstroSage AI, highlighted the inclusive nature of the service: “Now someone in a remote village can ask a question in their local dialect and get an answer immediately no typing required.”

AstroSage, known for its popular Kundli app with over 70 million downloads, plans to scale the AI calling feature to over 100 million users within the next year. The launch marks a significant step in the intersection of cultural tradition and cutting-edge technology in India.
