New Delhi [India], October 8 (ANI): Congress MP Mohammad Jawed slammed the Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday, stating that using CM Kumar's face at the forefront of the Bihar Assembly Election will be an advantage, as his face will serve as a reminder of the issues of unemployment, healthcare, and other problems in Bihar.
While talking to ANI, MP Mohammad Jawed said, "People in Bihar, seeing Nitish Kumar's face, remember that it is because of him that their family members are wandering in other states for employment, healthcare, and other issues. People are unable to find jobs, healthcare... So, if his face is at the forefront, it will be good for us."
He also said that twenty-five names have been cleared, and a few more names are under discussion for the Congress's first list for the Bihar Assembly election. "Names of 25 people have been cleared and a few more names have been discussed...," he said.
Earlier, Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan (Lalan) Singh on Wednesday said the NDA is poised to return to power under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Speaking to reporters, Ranjan said, "It is very good that the election dates have been announced. We were waiting for this. On 14 November, the NDA government will be formed again in Bihar under the leadership of Nitish Kumar.
"The 243 Assembly seats will go to the polls in two phases on November 6 and November 11, with counting of votes to be held on November 14.
Taking a dig at Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav, Singh likened his repeated claims of becoming Chief Minister to Mungrilal ke sapne (Mungrilal's dreams)."Everyone has the right to dream, but the people of Bihar have already seen the rule of his parents and the 15 years that followed. They will not be misled again," he added.
On Monday, the Election Commission announced the schedule for the Bihar Assembly elections. The 243 Assembly seats will go to the polls in two phases on November 6 and November 11, with counting of votes to be held on November 14. (ANI)
